The objective of the MJFL cheerleading program is to provide organized cheerleading programs for girls in grades 2 through 8 in the Village of Mundelein and Fremont Township. We strive to teach young women the benefits of a team, while developing and discovering sportsmanship, character, responsibility, respect, and safety, in addition to developing the necessary athletic skills to perform as a cheerleader. No prior experience is necessary.

All cheer squads are coached by adults with assistance from local high school cheerleaders. The MJFL is the proud co-owner of regulation-size and quality cheer mats and all MJFL cheer squads are scheduled to practice at least once weekly on these mats.

For all traveling leagues, parents must be willing to travel to away games. The MJFL competes in the Junior Football League of Northern Illinois which includes teams from Wauconda, Vernon Hills, Waukegan, Fox Lake, North Chicago, McHenry, Round Lake, Lake Villa and Zion. For details on home and away games check the weekly schedule under the football section of this site.
